Crescent Fitness specializes in Muay Thai Kickboxing, high intensity short circuit training,
Olympic weightlifting and cardio and conditioning. Sharpen your boxing and kickboxing
skills, learn self defense techniques, improve your strength and endurance, learn a new
martial arts discipline, or get your feet wet with a one-on-one personal training session.
Crescent Fitness gym is located on James Island between downtown Charleston, SC and
Folly Beach, SC.

We highlight athleticism by using compound movements, weightlifting and throwing. We use
kettlebells, medicine balls and rings instead of machines. We incorporate agilities for
strengthening and conditioning. Every workout is tied to performance and results are
recorded. This is a unique style of fitness designed to your athletic ability. Everyone may
benefit from this style of fitness including beginners whose goal is weight loss, or seasoned
athletes who may have lost the edge and desire to refuel their competitive nature.


MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) has recently generated great interest among our culture. At
Crescent Fitness you will learn the elements of Muay Thai kickboxing. This martial arts
style will sharpen your self defense skills and awareness. Classes include cardio, abdominal
work and a full array of pad and heavy bag exercises, punching, kicking, and blocking
techniques. All levels of experience are welcome including boxers and kickboxers who are
looking to get back in fighting shape, and even beginners who have no experience.

Endurance Training! Test your strength and stamina by pushing your mind and body to the limits.

Strength and conditioning class focusing on barbell lifts that are designed to aide in
functional fitness. Classes will involve detailed instruction of pushing/pulling movements including,
Squats, Deadlifts, Cleans, Snatches, and Presses.

This class is designed for current or expecting Moms. Casey Kniffin, a Crescent
Fitness athlete and new Mom, will be leading this class which will focus on staying
in shape during pregnancy and after baby arrives. This class is perfect for Moms of all fitness
levels whether you are 2 months or 6 years postpartum. Maintaining strength and fitness
while pregnant; and regaining strength and fitness post pregnancy will be our
goal. Above all, though, we will build confidence in Moms at all stages.
